Dr. North is a Junior Consultant for the Center for Organizational and Human Resources Effectiveness and an Assistant Professor of Industrial-Organizational Psychology at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). She teaches workplace psychology, training and development, and research methods. She received her M.S. in psychology in 2022 and her Ph.D. in industrial-organizational psychology from the University of Oklahoma in 2025.

Her research explores the dynamic interplay between emotion and performance, with a particular focus on how affective dynamics (change in emotions over time) may help or hinder complex skill learning and adaptive performance. Additional research interests include workplace well-being and burnout, and the implementation and sustainability of evidence-based interventions. She has presented papers at professional conferences (e.g., Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Association for Psychological Science), worked on several grant-funded (e.g., NIMH) interdisciplinary research teams, and published articles in the Journal of Applied Psychology, Implementation Research and Practice, and Frontiers in Psychology.
